An AC motor closed loop performances with different rotor flux observers

چکیده
This paper deals with robust flux observation of an induction motor using both an analytical observer and an artificial intelligence based one. Each developed observer is used in the direct field oriented control scheme of a 30kW induction machine. The effectiveness of the proposed schemes is checked via simulations on an induction motor driven by a space vector voltage-source pulse width modulation (PWM) inverter. The corresponding results of the method combining optimal regulator with neuralnetwork estimator are compared with those achievable with the standard PI control and a classical Luenberger observer. Computer simulations and experimental tests are presented to highlight the effectiveness of two proposed observers.

Several Speed Sensorless Methods of Induction Motor Control
This paper deals with different techniques to estimate the speed intended to the induction motors field oriented controlled without a shaft sensor. The information on the rotor speed is extracted from the stator terminal measurements (voltage and current). Open loop estimators and closed loop observers are used for this purpose and compared in term of their robustness against the variation of t...
متن کاملRobust Backstepping Control of Induction Motor Drives Using Artificial Neural Networks and Sliding Mode Flux Observers
In this paper, using the three-phase induction motor fifth order model in a stationary twoaxis reference frame with stator current and rotor flux as state variables, a conventional backsteppingcontroller is first designed for speed and rotor flux control of an induction motor drive. Then in orderto make the control system stable and robust against all electromechanical parameter uncertainties a...

متن کاملAdaptive Nonlinear Control of Induction Motors through AC/DC/AC Converters
The problem of controlling induction motors, together with associated AC/DC rectifiers and DC/AC inverters, is addressed. The control objectives are threefold: (i) the motor speed should track any reference signal despite mechanical parameter uncertainties and variations; (ii) the DC Link voltage must be tightly regulated; (iii) the power factor correction (PFC) w.r.t. the power supply net must...
متن کاملSensorless Speed and Position Control of Induction Motor Drives
Controlled induction motor drives without mechanical speed sensors at the motor shaft have the attractions of low cost and high reliability. To replace the sensor, the information on the rotor speed is extracted from measured stator voltages and currents at the motor terminals. Vector controlled drives require estimating the magnitude and spatial orientation of the fundamental magnetic flux wav...
